Special Rides

Special/novelty rides coming up (see below)
Special or novelty rides are organised throughout the summer riding season to provide something different.  Rides typically explore areas further afield or include a different riding experience.  Special rides tend to be very popular so members are advised to register their interest online as soon as possible after registration opens.  Entry to rides is normally closed when numbers reach 12 riders.

Special Ride, April 9th 2026 from High Legh Garden Centre to Marton

The ride will start from High Legh Garden Centre, which is just off the A50 at High Legh (between Lymm and Knutsford). The route will take us around the north side of Tatton Park and through the lanes and villages of East Cheshire. There is one serious climb up to ‘The Wizard’ at Alderley Edge before a gradual descent which will take us through more lanes and villages to Marton, where we will have lunch either at The Old Barn or The Davenport Arms (depending on numbers).

There will be a ‘mod’ route of 52 miles and a 58 mile route for anyone who fancies a slightly longer ride. To see the routes, copy the URL from below into your browser.

Meet in the café at High Legh Garden Centre at 10 am for a prompt start at 10.30

Please let Steve Tan or Dave Heath know as soon as possible if you intend to join one of the rides, saying which you prefer.
