Founder & Honorary President

Bryan Wade

In December 2018 Bryan Wade was made 'Honorary President' in recognition of Bryan's creation and maintenance of our club, with its special relaxed social culture. A pub lunch was normally part of the seductive package, and, like true athletes, many of us still enjoy rounding the day off with coffee and cake! The excellent organization of the club and all its aspects, e.g. the website, subscriptions, venue selection, the construction of the annual calendar and the writing up of rides, was solely on Bryan's shoulders until recent years. Bryan's leadership qualities also encompassed a smooth passing on of key tasks (helped by the commitment and integrity of those who volunteered to help). Bryan remains the key man to consult over club matters. His wisdom, intelligence and respect for the membership make his views worth seeking. We all value his company on rides, and long may this continue.

Bryan was delighted to receive the title of Honorary President.
